Handyman quote template

Handyman jobs are usually a list: patch this, hang that, fix the door. This template prices each task on its own line, so the customer can drop one and keep the rest without asking you to redo the quote.

Fits letter or A4. The spreadsheet opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers and adds up the amounts for you.

Tips for filling in your handyman quote

  1. 01

    One task, one line

A single lump sum invites haggling. Separate lines let the customer cut a task instead of asking you to cut your price.

  2. 02

    Write down your minimum

If you have a trip charge or a minimum, put it on every quote. It stops the 'can you just pop over for five minutes' visits from costing you money.

  3. 03

Say how you charge for materials

At cost, cost plus a handling percentage, or included. Any of them is fine; not saying is what causes the argument.

  4. 04

    Stay inside your license

Note on the quote which tasks a licensed trade has to do. It protects you, and customers trust a handyman who knows where the line is.
