Quote or estimate?
A quote is a price you will hold to for the work described. An estimate is your best guess, and it can change. Customers often treat both as a promise, so say which one you are sending, and write down what would change the price.
What every quote needs
- Your business name and how to reach you
- The customer, the job address and the date
- Each piece of work on its own line
- What is not included
- How long the price is good for, and when you get paid
- A line for the customer to accept
