Tips for filling in your painting quote

  1. 01

    Write the number of coats

    'Two coats' is a promise a customer can check. 'Paint the room' is not, and it is the line that gets argued about when the old color shows through.

  2. 02

    Name the paint

    Brand, product line and sheen. If the customer picks a cheaper or more expensive line, the price changes for a reason they can see.

  3. 03

    Get the colors in writing

    A text with the color names is enough. Repainting a room because someone remembered a different shade is pure loss.

  4. 04

    Book the touch-up visit

    Say when you will walk through and touch up. It closes the job on your terms instead of an open-ended list.
